Before you run off to leave us all your fab prompts, please check out the general rules for this fest and the prompting guidelines below!

Prompt Guidelines

1. Anyone can leave a prompt regardless of whether or not you're planning on claiming one. Submitting a prompt doesn't commit you to anything.

2. You can leave up to seven prompts. Prompts can be in the same comment or listed separately.

3. Prompts must be relevant to the theme of this community - any canon character at 50+. (i.e. a prompt focusing on Harry as a young parent would not fit.)

4. That said, we want all sorts of prompts! Fluffy, angsty, light or dark, gen, slash, femslash, het, threesome/moresome, character studies, mysteries, drama, comedy--anything goes!

5. Keep in mind that this is not a gift exchange. Your name will not be listed with your prompt in the claiming stage or when the fest is posting. Claimers will also be able to deviate from the prompt if their muse goes in a different direction (switch out characters, go with a different overall tone, etc.)

6. Prompts may be edited for clarity.

Prompt: War Stories - a grandchild of one of the Occupation of Hogwarts Heroes is asking questions about the year the Death Eaters ran Hogwarts. The adults tell stories.
Suggested Characters/Pairings: any two of the DA leaders, either as an established couple, or nostalgia brings them back together as they talk about the past.

Suggested Characters/Pairings: Personally I was thinking this might fit a same sex couple because of the 'bent' part. One of the more antagonistic/snarky pairings - like Harry with Severus or Draco - having settled into domestic bliss only to be disrupted by this insecurity.

Suggested Characters/Pairings: Teddy Gen or any Teddy pairing (I have a soft spot for James Sirius/Teddy if so inclined!)

Additional Info: Could go an angsty route with him starting to lose the ability/coming to terms with it, or could be more humorous with him being an old man who gives zero fucks if his nose changes in the middle of a conversation.

Despite his reservations (of which he expressed many, shouted too-loud over Floo-calls to Hermione), his first few days at the community went surprisingly well, leaving him hopeful for his future. Unfortunately all that hope is dashed once he meets his new neighbor: Draco Malfoy.

Prompt: At age 55, Harry has been running unopposed for the Minister of Magic for the last eight years. This election, he's running against young upstart Scorpius Malfoy. Harry wasn't worried at first, because who would want to elect a twenty-nine-year-old into office? But as the election draws close and their margins grow closer, Harry grows suspicious of the campaign practices of Scorpius Malfoy's campaign manager: his father, Draco Malfoy.

AKA Scorpius runs against Harry for Minister and Magic and is winning by his own right, but of course Harry thinks Draco Malfoy is Up to Something.

Theme/Tone: PolitiFic!! Maybe sexy and politi-geeky rivals? Is that a tone?
Additional Info: These are just more details I've got floating in my brain that you can totally free to ignore! I'm imagining details like, "10,000 owl-in ballots left to count at 60%, Scorpius could still turn Cornwall", campaign smears, etc. I'm imagining Scorpius to have AOC vibes and dunking on Harry with memes, and then Harry trying to swoop in with his dad jokes. And of course Draco being as Slytherin as possible by pulling in as many favors as he can! Except instead of the dark magic deals that his dad used to do, he does ones like "I pulled in a favor with Goyle, he's the best hair stylist in town" which is why Scorpius has like, incredibly sexy multicolored hair, meanwhile Harry is like "I can't get my hair to dye evenly" so he has literal patches of grey where his wand couldn't reach.

Prompt: Twenty-five+ years ago, Draco and Albus had a passionate affair. They were all set up to come clean and be together for real, when suddenly Draco and his wife moved to Paris without a word, leaving Albus heartbroken. Now Draco's back in Britain--minus a wife--and it quickly becomes clear that Albus isn't as over Draco as he likes to pretend. But Albus isn't so sure he's ready to forgive and forget.

Theme/Tone: angst, romance, bittersweet
Additional Info: Up to you why Draco left in the first place--though I'd prefer for it not to have anything to do with him not wanting to be with Albus. Maybe somebody found out about the affair and convinced Draco that Albus was better off without him? I'd love a happy ending with this one. :)

He keeps in touch with Ron and Hermione, and they often visit the USA or they meet somewhere for holiday like the Caribbean, etc... While Harry is gone, he had no idea that Ron started to develop a friendship with Draco. Now that Harry is thinking of moving back to England to teach at Hogwarts, Draco is beginning to keep his distance from Ron.
