PROMPTING FOR THE SALT AND PEPPER FEST IS ~~OPEN~~ CLOSED!

Before you run off to leave us all your fab prompts, please check out the general rules for this fest and the prompting guidelines below!

Prompt Guidelines

1. Anyone can leave a prompt regardless of whether or not you're planning on claiming one. Submitting a prompt doesn't commit you to anything.

2. You can leave up to five prompts. Prompts can be in the same comment or listed separately.

3. Prompts must be relevant to the theme of this community - any canon character at 50+. (i.e. a prompt focusing on Harry as a young parent would not fit.)

4. That said, we want all sorts of prompts! Fluffy, angsty, light or dark, gen, slash, femslash, het, threesome/moresome, character studies, mysteries, drama, comedy--anything goes!

5. Keep in mind that this is not a gift exchange. Your name will not be listed with your prompt in the claiming stage or when the fest is posting. Claimers will also be able to deviate from the prompt if their muse goes in a different direction (switch out characters, go with a different overall tone, etc.)

6. Prompts may be edited for clarity.

Prompt: A and B have been together for decades. What happens when one of them becomes desperately attracted to a younger man? I'd love to see them negotiating their way to a threesome. Maybe character B just wants to watch while A enjoys himself with C, or maybe they share the new partner.
Suggested Characters/Pairings: Harry/Draco, plus younger man - Teddy? An OC?
Theme/Tone: Hot, romantic, mildly angsty but all is ultimately resolved by healing cock? ;-)
Additional Info: Happy ending, please, for all 3 characters, without long term destructive jealousy. I'm happy with some infidelity, but would rather it was brief and resulted in guilt and working things through, rather than long term deceit.

(MODS, is this OK? The two main characters are over 50, but the third isn't. Just LMK if it's against the rules.)

Honestly, gut reaction here, is that it depends on how the person creating interprets it. The main characters have to be over 50 which would be Harry and Draco really unless it really centers around Teddy as well, so much that he is also considered a main character, in which case, he'd likely be too young. And if it turns into kinda youth!worship that's what we're trying to avoid.

Now, for Harry and Draco to be 50, Teddy's already in his early 30's. So if the creator bumped it up so Teddy was around 40, with Draco and Harry 58 or so, I think we could accept that. Yes, he's younger than 50 but hardly a 22-year-old boy toy.

It's up to you whether you want to keep the prompt as is (though we would likely make a note somewhere on it about the age issue), resubmit it with those thoughts in mind, or just come up with something else entirely.

Probably would have been better if I just said yes or no. :P

Prompt: Bringing in the ones who fled after the war

Additional Info: If Minerva ordered all the Slytherins to leave before the battle, did Slughorn go after the ones who didn't return? Obviously the focus would be on Minerva and Slughorn, not the ones who fled.

Prompt: After years and years together, character A decides that he/she is too old for character B and breaks off their relationship so character B can find someone new.
Suggested Characters/Pairings: Any cross-gen relationship
Theme/Tone: angsty with some light-hearted moments and a happy end would be lovely, but whatever fits!
Additional Info: could be completely ridiculous (for example a 75 year old telling a 60 year old they'd be better off with someone their own age could be played for laughs) but I'd really love if the reasons why the older character feels this way were seriously explored as well.

Prompt: Hermione discovers she's bisexual or a lesbian (or just the fluid nature of her sexuality) at an age when she thinks she should be way past these sorts of things.

Theme/Tone: Whatever fits!
Additional Info: What is it like to suddenly discover she's attracted to women at fifty+? Could be post divorce or she could be married to Ron, or perhaps she never had any serious long-term relationships (EWE) and only focused on her career. I'd prefer no infidelity though if possible!

Additional Info: I'm thinking of what it would be like to find out your first love had died. You're probably not in love with the person anymore, but there would still be an impact. What do you tell your current partner? Do you go to the funeral? Etc. Pairings (and pronouns used) are just suggestions, feel free to use other "first loves".

Prompt: Aged Harry is lost in depression. At the morning of the first Monday after Draco's funeral, he finds a phial with a pensieve-message from his dead husband, ordering him to do something they always wanted to do together, but never managed to. From now on, phials with new orders arrive every Monday morning, slowly guiding Harry back to life.

Additional Info: Art please. I would like to see something like this drawn out.

Prompt: Dudley stuck with boxing after Smeltings. He wasn’t anything amazing, but he had a moderately successful career. Now he’s 50 or 60, and the consequences of getting bashed around for years are starting to impinge on his daily life (not only the physical things like wear and tear on the body, but also the neurological, like chronic traumatic encephalopathy).

Additional Info: This could be gen, but I kind of like the idea of some sort of relationship, too. Maybe he has a wife, and they have to negotiate his decline together. Maybe he’s an old bachelor trying to manage these things alone, and a romantic interest stumbles into his life at (what he imagines to be) the worst moment possible.
