This is so, so amazing, I can't even -- I love them in their bathing suits, it just looks so cheerful and brilliant. The hats, the flip-flops, the pick nick basket, the tablecloth and they just look so fabulous! Beautiful. Perfect!

This is absolutely lovely - it's so bright and charming, and the use of coloured pencils as the medium is perfect for this piece. I adore how happy they look, how content and cheerful - it's really befitting of the glorious setting. And the tartan rug, picnic basket and intricate little details like the vivid blue flip flops and painted toes are all wonderful additions.

This made me smile as soon as I saw it, it's really lovely and warming. Thank you!

Thank you! Some pieces work equally well in black and white or color, but I really thought color was necessary here to truly give them the feel of being by the sea. It made it feel so much warmer, too. I'm so glad you liked it! :D

WOW!!!!!!! This is absolutely gorgeous, and it's giving me allllllll the Minerva/Poppy feels! *sigh* I can't think of any two ladies more deserving of a seaside getaway, can you? This is just lovely and so totally what I need here, still in the grip of snowy winter. The blues of water and sky are so inviting, and Minerva and Poppy are both just as I'd imagine: sensible hats to protect from the sun (Minerva's is pretty dashing, actually), attractive but not-too-revealing bathing suits. Of course Minerva' beach blanket would be Gryffindor tartan, and I can just see her *not* having painted toenails while Poppy does. I love their age and their glasses and their clear affection.

What an irresistible, eye-catching scene! The colors are wonderful, and it's such a pleasure to see them sauntering forth bare-legged, in demure bathing suits and jaunty hats. I love the towel tied around Poppy's hips, and their middle-aged faces, their distinctive spectacles, and the happy anticipation they share with that look. Aaaaah that is so lovely! So many beautiful things!

1. A busty Minerva! I don't think I've actually seen/read that very often, so it's quite a nice change!
2. Their swimsuits. Very fashionable and yet covering. I approve.
3. Their necks. They both have the most gorgeous necks.
4. Whoo-ee, they've both got legs! Their feet are wonderfully-rendered, too--well done.
5. Their expressions. Every time I look I seem to read them differently, as if the characters are having a real conversation.
6. Their beach hats. How practical and yet, again, fashionable! And matching!
7. Of course Minerva has a tartan/plaid towel or blanket.
8. That background is stunning. Love that we can even see their footsteps in the sand--beautiful job. The grass and ocean are brilliantly coloured.
9. Their shared space with the placing of arms. D'awwwr.
10. Poppy's beach wrap. Gorgeous, colourful thing! Also, her waist! She definitely hides that away in her robes. (;

Whenever I walk outside I'm surrounded (and often covered) in snow, but when I look at this, I think that perhaps it's possible we'll hit summer again--one of these years (surely this winter isn't just one season).
