Before you run off to leave us all your fab prompts, please check out the general rules for this fest and the prompting guidelines below!

Prompt Guidelines

1. Anyone can leave a prompt regardless of whether or not you're planning on claiming one. Submitting a prompt doesn't commit you to anything.

2. You can leave up to seven prompts. Prompts can be in the same comment or listed separately.

3. Prompts must be relevant to the theme of this community - any canon character at 50+. (i.e. a prompt focusing on Harry as a young parent would not fit.)

4. That said, we want all sorts of prompts! Fluffy, angsty, light or dark, gen, slash, femslash, het, threesome/moresome, character studies, mysteries, drama, comedy--anything goes!

5. Keep in mind that this is not a gift exchange. Your name will not be listed with your prompt in the claiming stage or when the fest is posting. Claimers will also be able to deviate from the prompt if their muse goes in a different direction (switch out characters, go with a different overall tone, etc.)

6. Prompts may be edited for clarity.

7. Prompting is open now until the end of Monday, Nov 14th (midnight, EST). We'll edit this post when prompting is closed.

Prompt: Can be as simple (word, phrase, song lyric) or as specific as you like. Please do not outline an entire plot, however. :D
Suggested Characters/Pairings: This is optional and can be left blank if you'd like!
Theme/Tone: Fluffy, angsty, etc. The overall mood. Also can be left blank if you'd like!
Additional Info: Here you can leave likes, dislikes, squicks, or anything else that doesn't fit above, but keep in mind that as this is not a gift, creators will not be required to stick strictly to these things. Also optional and can be left blank if you'd like!

Prompt: Crotchety Professors after retiring from their careers! Or rather, trying to be crotchety, only to find out they are beloved by the students. At least there's endless amounts of tea. Oh, and afterhours access to the Prefect's bath.

Additional Info: Up to you whether either/both of them are newer or have been established as professors for a while, and whether or not it's established relationship.

Prompt: Quidditch through the ages - of Harry and Draco. They're both too stubborn to stop playing the game as if they're still in their twenties. They each try to one-up each other with risky stunts.

Additional Info: Up to you if they're playing a family game where these ridiculous stunts are uncalled for or if they're playing professionally even though they should've already retired. Would love some cooler weather and old injuries acting up!

Prompt: It's not that Character A never thought of being with another woman, it's just that up until now they haven't met anyone who interested them enough to want to put it into practice.
Suggested Characters/Pairings: Any pairing combination of Minerva, Poppy, Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank and Hooch
Theme/Tone: Sensual, Sexy, Romantic (although I'm happy with angst/poignancy if that tone pleases your muse more)
Additional Info: Exploring sexuality and love growing from friendship later in life. Adapting to a relationship after years of independence. Just suggestions, please do go where you want with this.

Prompt: It's a small Muggle bar you could walk past without even noticing. Something compels Minerva to go inside and she's surprised to find a familiar face in the Drag King returning for one last performance.

Theme/Tone: Infidelity, Poignant, Reminiscent. Exploring consensual infidelity or polyamory is fine if you prefer that route.
Additional Info: If you use Hermione, please no 'Ron is a terrible husband' bashing. I don't care if you bash Lucius :P -Exploring being in love with two people at the same time or finding a childhood love again later in life.

Prompt: Harry's struggled to find love. He's had a lot of sex and plenty of casual relationships but nothing gives him the intimacy he desperately craves. Not to mention the press speculation about his love life attracts completely the wrong kind of suitor.
Suggested Characters/Pairings: Any Harry slash. Slight preference for Harry/Severus, Harry/Draco, Harry/Remus, Harry/Sirius, Harry/Teddy, Harry/Scorpius
Theme/Tone: Flangst, Romance but really go where this takes you
Additional Info: Would love some initial misunderstanding on both parts. Harry, used to being burned and Character B having a certain idea of Harry thanks to the press.

Prompt: Sex with aches and pains, maybe in the winter months when their bones ache from rain/snow, but even if it takes them longer and they're slower at it than when they were younger they still enjoy themselves. Sleepy cuddling.

Additional Info: Chaste kisses to the parts that hurt, taking care of each other, lighting fires and using warming charms to try to keep warm, cold fingers against warm skin, massaging away the aches and pains, and would love to see some humor/familiarity/domesticity/settledness in the sex and how they get around needing to go slower/deal with not being as flexible as they were when they were younger
