This is such a powerful piece, I'm really in awe. So real--painfully so. The portrait of a couple dealing with a terminal situation is so rarely touched upon, heck, even in real life, let alone in fic. Severus not wanting to give up, the flashbacks to ~happier times, their interactions with extended family. When Severus decides he must finally be the one to do it--that whole scene really--just wow. Heartbreaking, devastating. Incredible fic. Well done.
