What a lovely story! I can see Minerva like this, rather solitary, but because she wants it that way. And also willing to realize that socializing a bit more might be a good thing.

The cameos are perfect. Molly would say that sort of thing, and Hermione's response is perfect.

And teaching is not for someone looking to cut down on the stress in their life. Amen to that. If you're a teacher yourself, amen to that, sister. Or brother. Sibling, anyhow.

The Horace cameo is just so. If I stop going to things, stop visiting people, soon they will forget about me, and I’ve no family or friends to speak of. Poor Horace. That's just it, isn't it? And yes, he'd live vicariously through his Slug Club.

A very well-told story, and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
