This is beautiful! I love the characterisation of Charlie in this particularly. He seems to have that quiet but observant thing going on that's totally my head canon for him. The descriptions of his asexuality and the way he wants to be able to understand it, to relate to other people, is perfect. Theo's little quotes about the thestrals were a beautifully subtle insight regarding his own acceptance of his asexuality and a lovely way to round off the story. It made me smile a lot, and this was my favourite line: 'There’s something he recognises from the fairytales. At last.' Great work MA!
