Oh, this is really beautiful and also so incredibly heart-breaking. It's such a small moment in time, but it captures so much. It breaks my heart that Cissy finally finds it within herself to forgive her sister and come to terms with everything that happened — even though it is now too late to do anything about it. That sort of remorse and reflection is truly devastating.

I think my favorite part is the end when she finally lets herself truly grieve for her sister. It's painful to read, but it's very well done.

This is just a beautiful, albeit painful, story and I loved reading it.
